Yonoowari / Character Application {Done} Anime_Warrior_by_chaotixwol

Yonoowari Kōkyūdesu

Section 1: Basic Information

Last Name, First Name: Kōkyūdesu, Yonoowari

Gender: Male

Age: 29 years

Birthday: December 24th, Night of the Winter Solstice

Height: 6' 2"

Weight: 147 pounds

Specializations: Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu, Ijutsu

Elemental Affinity: Raiton, Fuuton, Katon

Rank: Tsurikage

Village: Morigakure

Section 2: Personality

Personality: Yonoowari Kōkyūdesu, unlike his position in Morigakure as Kage, is extremely formal and bold. As a Kage, he is polite, extremely smart, and always looks at things from a very serious and centered perspective. As a man, however, he can be a massive pervert and gets bothered often by comments and even normal conversations that may give him the wrong ideas. Overall, he is well-respected and well-known in not only his village but others as well, but at the same time, it’s also because: if you mess with his friends and family and/or his village, you’re dead, as he can get pissed at the slightest insult. Even if he knows it’s a joke, a lecture storm is under way for the joker or for anyone who makes comments of that nature.

Likes: He enjoys peace and greatly enjoys helping others and unlike the rest of The Empire, he rather enjoys freedom and the ability to do what he wants, though he believes further than freedom the ideal of everyone being united under one banner. Not for power, but for equality. He has a strong love for people who are kind, just, and always follow their desires no matter what it is, as he is this way himself. He also, like some men, loves children and wishes some day to have some when peace may be realized all over the world.

Dislikes/Fears: There aren’t many things he dislikes, but they are all very serious dislikes. He dislikes people who think they are high-and-mighty and they think they are better than other people because of their social status or rank. He punches people who are like that, and he doesn’t pull punches. He also dislikes unnecessarily loud noises. He gives laps and chores to anyone who makes unnecessarily loud noises or is disruptive and causes trouble. There, however, is nothing he genuinely fears other than losing the people he loves and losing his village and its people. This surely would change his life in a drastic and horrid way.

Motivation: Yonoowari’s motivations are all related to his being Kage. His first motivation for being Kage was his admiration for his father who was a great Kage for the majority of his life, as was his father and the father before him. As an only child, his father raised him to be strong, independent, and firm in beliefs. His second motivation for being Kage is his ability to want to protect and watch over his village Morigakure, which has been his home all his life. The third coincides with the second motivation, which is his desire to protect those he loves and all the people within his village.

Character History:

Harsh Beginnings

Born the only child and son of the Tsurikage, Yonoowari had a rough life ahead of him. For the first ten years of his life, he was treated in extremely harsh ways. For instance, from the time he turned five, his father would send him deep into the woods outside the village of Morigakure in order to hunt and gather herbs and other needed materials. His mother would teach him to always keep his head held high, no matter what his father put him through. He also taught him to complete simple tasks and chores such as: cleaning, washing and drying clothing, cooking, and weaving cloth.

When he turned seven, his father began training him by forcing him to do push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and made him complete tasks such as: going to the marketplace while having chained, weighted, iron balls attached to his ankles, climbing the otherworldly large trees in the village by using chakra in his feet and separately with his hands. He also taught him hand seals, starting with the most simple jutsu: kawarimi, bunshin, and shunshin (however shunshin wasn’t mastered until later years, as it is a bit more advanced than the others). All during his seventh year of life, his father put him through the same tasks every day, from morning to dinner time.

The next three years were rather calm and it seemed as though it was a time of relaxation for Yonoowari. He grew into a fine young boy and when he turned ten, it was time for his father to unleash hell on him. Having learned simple jutsu and uses of hand seals, Yonoowari’s father threw him into the fire and began teaching him to fight and survive. Sparring became very common and second-nature to Yonoowari over the next five years. On top of sparring, his father had him use the trees in the village as his training dummies and every day, twice a day, four hours in total every day, Yonoowari would punch, kick, head butt, use his knees, elbows and feet to hit the trees in order to strengthen and condition his bones, muscles, and skin. For another two hours every day, his father would use wood from the very trees standing around them in order to hit his back, torso, and neck area for the same purpose. This training continued for five whole years, and not a single day was ever skipped.

At the age of fifteen, Yonoowari was ready to begin taking on real missions and he also began sparring with the other high-ranking shinobi of the village.

The Scar

In one certain mission, he was ordered by his father the Tsurikage to track down two men who ran out of the village with many valuable scrolls from the headquarters of the village and kill them. It didn’t matter how, so Yonoowari ran in haste to find the traitors and exterminate them before the scrolls were lost forever. Ten minutes after running out of the village’s gate, he caught the traitors’ trail and began pursuing them at full speed. In ten minutes of pursuing the targets, he managed to catch up to them and when he was able to see them, he used a simple shunshin jutsu to move in front of them and stop their advance. When he did this, the two men set down the scrolls on the ground and took out kunai. While they were doing this, however, he was already moving around them to make the first kill while they were paying attention to the bunshin clone he had made just before. Just as the bunshin clone dissipated, Yonoowari quickly turned the kunai in his hand around, aimed the tip of the kunai to the back of the man on the left’s throat, and shoved it dead center through his neck. At the cost of doing that, though, the other man slashed and cut Yonoowari’s face straight down on his left eye, which the man had barely missed. Putting the pain in his face to the back of his mind, he swiftly took out another kunai and stuck it directly into his heart. When the second man fell, Yonoowari gritted his teeth, picked up the scrolls, and ran back toward the village as quickly as he could, knowing that he couldn’t stop the bleeding on his own. When he reached the gate to the village, two jounin-ranked shinobi received him, one taking the scrolls to the Tsurikage and the other taking Yonoowari to the village’s hospital for immediate care. The scar left on his face would be with him for the rest of his life.

Ascension to the Rank of Kage

At the age of twenty-one, six years after getting the scar, it was time for him to become the new Kage of Morigakure, the Tsurikage. As the day had finally arrived, Yonoowari’s father took him to the center of the village for one final match, a fight between the son and his father. Fifteen minutes is the time it took to get down to the center of the village, since it was sort of a ceremony procession, one that has been a tradition of the Kage from generation to generation. They split apart and walked on to the large platform on opposite sides and looked silently at each other. The proctor was a jounin of the village and signaled the son and father to begin the fight.

[Fight lasted a grand total of two hours and both fighters were out of breath and beat up]

Both shinobi stopped after two hours of constant battle and stood directly in front of each other, nearly two feet from one another. The proctor ended the fight officially and the father announced the verdict of the ceremony: celebration or renewal. When the Tsurikage announced that his son Yonoowari was truly worthy of becoming the new Tsurikage, all of the townspeople yelled loudly and happily as they welcomed the new Tsurikage to the throne of Morigakure. There were then seven days and seven nights of celebration and of the many “inaugural appointments” to be had. On the seventh day, the father and son met atop the largest tree and bestowed upon him the robes and hat of the Tsurikage. From that day on, Yonoowari would serve, protect, and honor the name of the village of Morigakure and its people.

Nine years of Rule to the Present

His first year as the Tsurikage was extremely taxing. Stacks upon stacks of paper work, ranging from mission reports to the weather, came in and onto his desk every single day. On top of that, he had letters to write to the other Kage of the Empire about the change in Kage and status of The Divide where the Nine-Tailed bijuu lay dormant. On top of even that, he had to oversee exams and training days for academy-level and genin-level shinobi, sifting through progresses in the marketplace, trade with other villages, and routine check-ups with the tokubetsu jounin and jounin on their patrols and reports. Often, for the first year especially, his work led late into the night and often was able to only get about two to three hours of sleep every night; even on weekends.

Gradually, as the next year came by and passed, daily activities and projects became more simple, and he became more used to the ‘Kage lifestyle.’ However, there were two times when he had to travel to the other villages and speak in person with the other Kage in the Empire. These conversations consisted often of the trading of certain goods, cooperation between villages in terms of missions and patrols.

Journey and the Meeting in Sakyugakure (Sub-History)

One day, in the middle of his second year as Tsurikage, Yonoowari received a letter from Sakyugakure stating that the Kage would wish to meet him in person and introduce himself, the Kage of Sakyugakure, and the village. Of course, Yonoowari believed it would be wise to meet the other Kage at some point, so he quickly left his office. On the way out, he informed the ANBU of his departure and told them to inform the rest of the village of his absence. He then exited the village with haste and began his journey to the desert village, Sakyugakure.

When he finally reached the village’s gate two days later, he was greeted immediately by jounin-ranked shinobi, who bowed humbly and escorted Yonoowari to the headquarters in the village. About ten minutes had passed quickly and they had reached the headquarters of Sakyugakure. He was then greeted by two elder looking men who also bowed and then led the way up to the top of the large building. The two men walked in first and introduced the Tsurikage to the Kage of Sakyugakure. The entire day went smoothly, as they spoke of the trading routes and plans, mission plans, and cooperation between each village in terms of patrols and casual reports. The next day, the Kage of Sakyugakure invited the Tsurikage for a sparring match. As soon as they got outside, the fight began and it ended after a little ten minute scrimmage with a simple draw. After that happened, Yonoowari said farewell to the Kage, used a simple shunshin jutsu, and vanished leaving Sakyugakure and heading back to Morigakure, where his people would welcome him back with open arms.

Six Years to the Present Day

For the next six years, Yonoowari would continue his simplistic duties as Tsurikage. Nothing changed. The trees aged as time flew by and the village grew with them as though they were one organism. The people of the village aged as well, and new children came into the world and went to the academy. Often, the Tsurikage would greet the other villagers and help with chores and patrols. He also visited the academy to administer tests and check on the many childrens' studies, while eyeing prospective shinobi. More and more, Yonoowari became more and more part of the village. It was as though the forest was the glue between him and the forest itself, along with the village within it.

Five years had passed as though it were in the blink of a single eye. The Tsurikage, Yonoowari, was no longer new anymore, and everything seemed to finally fall into place. He grew many feelings for his village, many of which were very good feelings, aside from the loud noises from kids rough-housing on occasion. Just as well, the people of Morigakure grew fond of Yonoowari and began believing in him as a leader and also as a human being. Over the six years of peaceful life-living, he won over the loyalty of his entire village and even the other large villages within the Empire, such as Sakyugakure and Jokigakure which was not an easy task, as it required that the Tsurikage travel in person to the villages often and spend a day or two with the Kage in both village, respectively.

Years passed again and surely enough, he turned twenty-nine years old: the threshold to true adulthood and the earning of wisdom and experience. The Kage from the other two villages, Sakyugakure and Jokigakure, traveled this time to Morigakure to congratulate Yonoowari on his birthday, for it was an important day and year; one that would take the Tsurikage, Yonoowari, to his next stage in life. For two whole weeks, the three Kage drank and partied, talked and sparred, meditated and prayed for Yonoowari's success in his next stage of life, even though it wouldn't be for another year when it would truly begin. After the two weeks of celebration, the two Kage left parting gifts with the Tsurikage and parted to their respective villages.

To the present day, Yonoowari continued his duties as Tsurikage of Morigakure. What will ensue in the coming years is unknown but whatever it is, Yonoowari will be ready for it...unless it deals with young women, which in that case would completely take him off-guard. Literally.

I'm afraid your history is only 1283 words, the minimum for S-rank is 2000. You're gonna need to add more to it my friend.
