Bloodline: Yasei no keijō (Wild Shape)

Bloodline Ability: The members of the Kuma clan are able to transform parts of their body into those of bears with ease without the risk of losing their human side. By the time a Kuma clan member has reached the strength to graduate from the academy they have enough control over this ability to transform into a small bear cub (fur color matching that of their hair) though this does nothing to affect their abilities. In addition whenever a member of the clan uses a taijutsu, due to their deep connection with nature and their inner beast, the effects produced are so natural to them that it costs one rank less in chakra cost (E ranks still cost 5). This excludes any technique with an elemental attachment and/or nintaijutsu. All clan members are required to have Taijutsu as their primary specialization.


Genin (D Rank)

Description: The user charges chakra into their hands as long as they would normally do seals for this technique. This technique takes the user's fingers and transforms them into the claws of a bear, making the finger/claw 6 inches long and as hard are steel in addition to growing thick fur the same color as the user's hair on their hands and wrists (this hair falls out when the technique ends). The sharpness of the claws makes it so the user can tear away skin and muscle with ease (like a razor blade) but still not going clean through bone, however if enough force is exerted to do so normally they can break bones. These claws last for four rounds with a six round cool down.

Description: The user charges chakra into their hands as long as they would normally do seals for this technique. This technique morphs the user's nose into that of a bear, the main tracking tool of the powerful species of hunters. Use of this technique increases the user's sense of smell 1000x, allowing them to pick up on even the smallest odors in the area around them for ten feet and able to track down a single scent for up to a half mile or until the trail goes cold (the long range tracking is for out of combat only). This transformation lasts for three rounds with a four post cool down.

Description: Passive; the user of this technique fuels their inner animal into their fingers to increase the strength of their grip to superhuman levels. When this technique has been used to grab something there is no way to detach the Kuma clan member from it except for cutting their hand off or waiting for the duration to come to an end. This powerful grip also grants just enough power to bend things made of iron or weaker. This technique can not be used to rip off someone's body parts but the force of the grip itself however does cause microscopic fractures in the grabbed person's bones which decrease the speed and power of that limb by 10%. 2 round duration (max, can be ended early by letting go), 4 round cool down.

After charging has been completed the user throws themselves down on all fours and begins to change shape, they grow larger to actually become a bear complete with fur, claws and fangs. This level of transformation turns the user into a black bear. This transformation takes a full post to complete.

Transformation Specifics: The user lunges forward onto their hands and knees as black hair starts to grow over their entire body and their face grows outward into a snout. Their eyes become those of an animal and their fingers and toes become claws as their teeth sharpen into razor-like teeth, this is the first stage of full transformation that makes the Kuma infamous. The black bear form is nearly six feet tall standing up straight and four feet tall on all fours. The user’s strength increases to +20% what it normally is. Their teeth and claws are able to shred through and match steel; and their sense of smell is able to let them know where everything is within ten feet of them. Their speed is +20% their base speed while in this form. However the user is no longer completely themselves anymore, the beast within them is starting to take over their mind so it is impossible to distinguish friend from foe. This form costs 20 chakra to activate and 10 chakra to maintain each following round, this form can be held for a maximum of six rounds with a seven post cool down.

The brown bear form is nearly nine feet tall standing up straight and five feet tall on all fours. The user’s strength increases to +50% what it normally is. Their teeth and claws are still able to shred through and match steel; and their sense of smell is able to let them know where everything is within twenty feet of them. Their speed is +20% their base speed while in this form. However the user is no longer completely themselves anymore, the beast within them is starting to take over their mind so it is impossible to distinguish friend from foe. This form costs 30 chakra to activate and 10 chakra to maintain each following round, this form can be held for a maximum of nine rounds with a nine post cool down.
Brown Bear Form:

Description: In order to perform this technique the user must spend an amount of time charging chakra into their arms that they would doing handseals for a B rank technique. This is a showing of strength in the upper half of the user's body, allowing the user to be able to perform powerful strikes unable to be done by most people. When one uses this technique is able to attack with power that is able to shatter iron, puncture through steel and snap bones with ease. These swings can move 75 miles per hour and have 11120.55405 newtons of force behind them. When the technique has been activated the effects last for 2 rounds with a cool down of 8 rounds.

Transformation Specifics: The user jerks back and lets out a beast’s roar to the sky like a bear about to take a life from someone foolish enough to wander into its lair. Solid black hair forms over their body as they continue to roar and their face lengthens into a snout, their teeth sharpen and their fingers form into claws as their arms and legs triple in girth as muscle mass builds up underneath the now fur covered skin. They look forward again and their yellow eyes seem to almost glow as they search for their prey. This is the werebear and the pride of the Kuma clan, many have seen this form while only a handful have survived it to retell the story of the almost storybook monster that attacked them. The werebear makes the user grow to three times their normal height and grants a strength of +90%, their teeth and claws are still able to cleanly slice through steel like nothing but are as hard as diamond in durability. The monster form is the only full transformation the clan offers which will allow the user to retain their human mind which is what makes this more dangerous than any other despite the larger gain in strength because no longer will they attack their allies unless they wanted to. Their speed is +50% their base speed if they stand on two legs but moves up to +90% if they run on all fours. What follows is the blast of blue and white chakra that extends out to its full length one half of a second after being fired. The spirit gun is able to bounce off of mirrors, this means actual mirrors not just any shiny/reflective surface (such as water). At the lowest level of power the spirit gun has just about as much power as a water gun would, used more for tripping people with a tiny amount of force. This level will be almost completely useless in a serious combat setting but can be great for playing jokes. No cool down

Description: Hand Seals; Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance and thus this clone can do absolutely no damage at all in any way. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse. Description: Hand Seals; Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, while transformed only the user's shape and appearance changes. Meaning that if say the host turns themselves into a sword they won't be able to cut anything unless their body could do so naturally or if they turn into a bird they arent able to fly. This technique lasts for 4 posts with a cooldown of 2. .

Kawarimi no Jutsu

Type: Supplementary Ninjutsu

Description: One round charge up rather than hand seals; Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object, this object must be something like a log or stone roughly the same size as the user. The size doesn't have to be exactly the same as the user but what this means is a person can't replace themselves with a leaf or a twig, nor could they replace themselves with a giant boulder, if questions arise over uses of this technique contact an admin but any decision they make is final. In addition this can not be another person unless that person is willing. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. These objects or other people must be within 50 feet of the user when the technique is performed. There is a 5 round cool down between uses of this technique and it can only be used a maximum of 3 times per topic.

Cauterization

Description: No Seals; The user charges katon style chakra into their hand(s) for one round before they can use this technique in place of hand seals. The user uses the sheer heat from the katon style chakra in their hands to close off wounds and stop them from bleeding any longer. If this is used on a part of the body that is not bleeding it will just place a red hand print the shape of the user's hand that does nothing but slight discomfort. The heat stays in the user's hands for 2 rounds and has a 3 post cool down between uses.

Choke Slam

Description: Passive; the user grabs their target around the throat area (can be clothing around the neck if it is worn) and lifts them up as high as they can. After getting their target into position they slam them down into the ground at a speed of 15 mph which can result in broken bones such as the ribs and/or arms depending on how they hit the ground. If the target is slammed into soft ground such as wet mud or loose sand this will only fracture bones. This technique will not break someone's spine. The downside of this technique is the grip on the target, even after they are grabbed they can attempt to wiggle free which is easy to do in mid-air before the slam. 4 post cool down.

Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique: Level 1

Description: Hand seals, the caster performs their hand seals and is then required to throw a shuriken. After the shuriken is thrown it splits apart into shadows clones so that there are now 50 of them that stay clustered within a 20 foot area of each other. These shuriken travel at 25 mph. After the shuriken either hit their target to cause damage or land the clones 'pop' and disappear. These clones are shadow clones and therefore any damage caused by a clone is equal to damage caused by a real shuriken. 4 round cool down.

It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Generic Sealing Technique

Description: Requires handseals. This technique allows the user to seal an inanimate object away for later use within a summoning scroll. To seal an item away the user simply has to perform their handseals and then touch both the item to be sealed and a blank area on their scrolls surface and it will instantly be sucked into the page. The surface where the item is stored will have a kanji or symbol of some sort specific to that item (or item type in the case of things like kunai) which allows the owner of the scroll and anyone who read it to know what is stored within. To release an object from the scroll simply make a one-handed tiger hand sign and touch the symbol with your other hand and the object will appear laying on the page or close by (possibly in the user's hand[s]). Upon releasing the object the symbol marking its spot fades away. In the case of small items (equal to or smaller than a kunai/shuriken) up to 5 units can be sealed at one time. Both sealing and object and releasing it cost chakra separately.

Hiding in a Turtle Technique

Description: Requires hand seals and a bit of blood like a normal summoning. The user summons a special breed of turtle from their homeland to aid them. This turtle is able to swallow its summoner and hold them in it's stomach while it moves about. The turtle itself is barely eight inches long and looks like any normal turtle, the inside of it's stomach and throat however are an extra-dimensional space that is like a tunnel and large room for the summoner to walk around in. The turtle is able to dive deep into water and swim with relatively good speed though it travels very slowly on land. The stomach of the turtle also has a special barrier that obstructs chakra, protecting the user from detection-type ninjutsu. The summon can last up to ten rounds with a ten round cool down.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu

Description: Hand seals and blood sacrifice (amount minimal) required to be performed. This techniques is used when a shinobi is attempting to determine what sort of summoning family they are best suited for, based on what animal appears in its most basic form (after birth/hatching) such as a tadpole. The process of fully realizing what family the shinobi is able to summon requires this jutsu to be used times, each time it is used there is a requirement of 200 words of description of the process which can include anything from the summoning to the animal itself to the summoner's reaction so long as it is well written. (for genin that have no sort of boost to the chakra pool this would mean that they would need to take a break at some point since 5 uses of a C rank jutsu would drain their chakra pools, this can be done by simply adding an additional 200 words of you resting and regaining your strength for an additional forty chakra (note that this is the only case where you can do this to replenish your chakra stores and can only be done once). Each use of the summoning technique will result in the animal growing a bit, using the previous example of a tadpole it would go through the different stages of life before becoming a frog, in cases where the animal does not have such extreme stages as a frog/toad the animal would be becoming more mature starting from a baby and growing into things such as a toddler and so on until it reaches 'adulthood' at stage 5. After the five stages have been performed the new summoner performs the technique one last time to summon their first personal summon of the family, this summon creature is registered as a D rank jutsu and is free due to this technique becoming useless after this process is completed. Keep in mind though that this new summon is the equivalent of a D rank summon and thus is not extremely powerful, something like gamakichi who was able to do some things such as a handful of D rank jutsu would be acceptable. This D rank will provide the summoner with a contract scroll which they then sign with their blood, after signing the contract disappears and a summoning tattoo appears on their lower arm/wrist, the design of the tattoo is up to the summon completely but all must include a single circle which acts as the focus point for chakra when performing a summoning from that point on.

Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu

Type: Ninjutsu
Distance: 30 feet
Description: The ninja does the necessary hand seals and then emits a series of small fire balls about as big as soft balls. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, they do not see the hidden threat within the fire balls. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai. There can be a maximum of 10 fireballs, and each one causes first degree burns. Cool down four posts.

Katon: Mist Blaze Dance Jutsu

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. This gas is completely harmless, other than causing anyone in the affected area to become light headed. Once it comes in contact with fire or spark, the gas ignites into a large fireball. This fire ball is more of an explosion, expanding out ten feet past the gas in every direction. The damage level of the explosion is second degree burns. 5 round cool down.

Katon: Dragon Fire Technique

Description: Requires hand seals. The user breathes fire, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. This technique can cause second degree burns on direct contact. The flame travels at 40 mph, making it extremely effective at close range. These flames can be cast onto a strand of ninja wire to run along it up to 50 feet. 4 post cool down.

Katon: Great Fireball Technique

Summoning: Turtle Shop Technique

Description: Requires hand seals and a bit of blood like a normal summoning. This technique summons a Shop Turtle from their homeland. This turtle has the ability to transform into a building and with their chakra, the user gives the building a design they imagined themselves. The target is then lured inside, for example, with the promise of cheap drinks. Once the target has entered the store the summoner can give the turtle the command to change back into its original small form, trapping the target inside the turtle's stomach. From the moment the cancellation hand seal is performed, it takes only two seconds for it to return to its original shape, meaning there is little chance of escape. The turtle can remain in building form for up to five rounds, after that if it has yet to trap anyone it un-summons. If the turtle does trap someone then it can remain an additional eight rounds. When the technique ends the turtle vomits those trapped inside before un-summoning itself. Once per topic.

Description: Requires hand seals. The user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body and changes it into a dragon-shaped fireball. The user then skillfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. Even outside of the attack range, its power and reliability are stressed. The flames have a high temperature, as they can create an upward movement of air currents which in turn can give rise to thunder clouds (if the technique is not aimed at anyone and is shot into the air with the intention of creating thunder clouds it can pierce the sky in distance). Anyone caught in the technique receives heavy second degree burns. The dragon is ten feet wide and ten feet tall, and travels at 60 mph, making it deadly at close range. 8 post cool down.

Burning Attack

Description: Charge time equal to hand seals, after charging is complete the caster swings their arms about in a specific pattern in order to build up heat through kinetic energy. When this is done the hands come together to form a diamond, the technique is aimed at a point the diamond directs it up to 250 feet. The technique itself is a large sphere of flames nearly thirty feet across, this sphere can cause second degree burns on contact with flesh and heat metallic items to a point where they cant be used for a round without burning (2nd degree) the person using them. The sphere moves at 40 mph. 6 round cool down.

Description: No hand seals; rather than seals the user will charge katon style chakra into their throat for the same amount of time they would normally need to do hand seals for a B rank technique. The user opens their mouth and allows a jet of flames escape that spreads out to cover an area a hundred feet long and ten feet wide. This fire is hot enough to cause severe second degree burns and ignite all flammable materials within it's range. This can be cancelled out by a B rank suiton jutsu, or if combined with a fuuton jutsu of at least B rank (this wind technique would need to be used by another person) is treated as an A rank jutsu and will cause third degree burns rather than second. Five round cool down.

Katon: Candelabra Hands

Description: Requires Handseals. The user channels katon chakra into their hands, excreting a hard wax-like substance with the durability of steel that forms around their forearms and hands, this substance is charged with chakra and so moves with the users body, allowing for the fingers and hands to still be used. This waxlike substance will ignite, burning with blue flames that cause second degree burns on contact with an enemy. Lasts for 4 posts. 5 post cooldown.

Three Winds Technique: Crushing Song of Destruction

Description: No hand seals; rather than seals the user will charge fuuton style chakra into their throat for the same amount of time they would normally need to do hand seals for a B rank technique. This technique is meant to be preformed with a group of three people, however it can be done with one, two or three people, each version of the jutsu will be describe below; Charge time and chakra cost is always that of a B rank jutsu for each user, 6 round cool down.
  • One User; When only one person is using this technique it is treated as a B rank fuuton ninjutsu. It spreads out to cover a range of 50 feet out from the user and 15 feet across. This wind funnel is powerful enough to rip a single fully grown tree out of the ground and cause lacerations half an inch thick all over the body of those trapped inside. This can be countered (cancelled out) by a B rank katon technique.

  • Two Users; When only two people are using this technique it is treated as an A rank fuuton ninjutsu. It spreads out to cover a range of 100 feet out from the user and 30 feet across. This wind funnel is powerful enough to rip all the plant life out of the ground as well as being able to cause enough damage to destroy damaged and weaker structures within it's area of effect. It also will cause lacerations an inch and a half thick all over the body of those trapped inside. This can be countered (cancelled out) by an A rank katon technique.

  • Three Users; When three people are using this technique it is treated as a S rank fuuton ninjutsu. It spreads out to cover a range of 250 feet out from the user and 80 feet across. This wind funnel is powerful enough to completely destrpy all the plant life in the area as well as being able to cause enough damage to destroy any structures within it's area of effect. It also will cause severe gashes nearly two inches thick all over those trapped inside. This can be countered (cancelled out) by a S rank katon technique.
