The Chuunin Exams Begin!

The village was decorated and dressed in its very best. The people lined the streets in throngs, ready to cheer on their prospective Chuunin. The time had finally arrived. Proctor stood in the center of the Sky Arena as the last of his puppet-clones returned, the invitations had been sent and the participants had all been registered, it was finally time for the Chuunin Exams to begin. Proctor cleared his throat as he shouted to the sky.

"Let the Chuunin Exam's begin! All contestants who have registered will report at once! Anyone who still wishes to enter must arrive at the First Exam site at least six hours before it ends. Good luck to you all-ahem!"

All participants in the Chuunin Exams are assumed to already be at Aerogakure, no travel topic is required to speed up the process. At the completion of the exam everyone is considered to have returned to where they were before unless a travel topic is posted to stay in Aerogakure.

The Chuunin Exams are finally starting all you members of Province! Before you get stuck into it there are a few things you should know about how this will work. First of all is that the exam is split into three stages and you must pass each stage to advance to the next. Failing to advance will mean you drop out of the exams, but don't worry, the first two phases are easy to get through, though difficult to do well in. Your performance will be judged on a number of categories including your RP skills, analytical skills, site knowledge and battle strength. The Exams are designed to test YOU as much as your character to determine whether you're ready to advance to the rank of Chuunin.

The first phase will be a solo topic where you will complete the task set out for you by The Proctor. This task will be posted in a topic and you must copy and paste the indicated block of text into your first post. HOW YOU COMPLETE THIS TASK IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO YOUR RESULTS IN THE CHUUNIN EXAMS. This test is designed to test the way you RP as well as your ability to analyze a situation and think of a variety of outcomes. This Phase takes place in the Lonely Tower.

The Second Phase is a written test that will examine your knowledge of this site. This includes important characters, factions, history and significant points on certain systems such as Summoning, Battle Rules as well as other things. This test will be posted in a topic and you must PM your answers to THIS ACCOUNT within 72 hours of that topic being posted. All the answers will be present on the site somewhere and this test is mostly a chance to educate yourself on some of the things you may not know about Province. You must receive a mark of at least 80% to pass and considering the answers are there for you to find, this shouldn't be too difficult.

The Third Phase is a tournament, whose ladder will be drawn up at the end of the first two phases. This ladder will match up characters in ways that are deemed fair and aim to give everyone a fighting chance. Losing does NOT mean you fail the exam, if you are able to lose well and make it a close thing you may still pass based on your overall performance. More matches simply gives you a greater chance to prove yourself to the judges HOWEVER, the winner of the tournament WILL AUTOMATICALLY pass the Chuunin Exams.



After the Chuunin Exams the judges will look over the topic and decide who is worth of passing. This may be everyone but it could also be no one, the only person exempt will be the person who wins the tournament as they have 'done the best' in the Chuunin Exams.

Before the results are posted by the judges there will be a poll called the MEMBER'S CHOICE VOTE. The Member's Choice is a popular vote to determine who their favorite participant of the Exams was, this gives you an opportunity to read over other people's topics and fights and determine who YOU think was the 'best. ANY MEMBER ON THE SITE CAN VOTE, NOT JUST THOSE WHO WERE IN THE CHUUNIN EXAMS. Votes will be cast in a separate topic under these rules.

1. A member cannot vote for themselves.
2. A member can vote for two different people, however alts cannot be used to cast votes.
3. A Member's Choice winner will only be determined if a suitable number of members vote, all participants of the CE are expected to vote on who THEY feel performed the best and other members on the site are encouraged to participate.
4. A winner of the Member's Choice cannot have won the Tournament.

The winner of the Member's Choice will also receive the rank of Chuunin, as well as 2000 ryo extra for having the popular vote. This ensures that at least two Chuunin are selected every exam despite the admins opinions.
